Je vous propose une nouvelle aventure musicale, artistique et humaine avec ce projet de 4eme album. Comme pour chacun de mes opus, j'ai à cœur d'innover et d'explorer de nouveaux univers musicaux en langue bretonne. Depuis que j'ai démarré mon projet d'artiste solo en 2006, j'ai tour à tour proposé des albums folk, rock progressif et métal. Cette fois ci, je reviens à de la chanson dans un format plus intimiste.

My fourth record is in the making, please give us a hand! 

I want to offer you a new adventure in music, art and humanity with this fourth record I am working on. The purpose remains the innovation and exploration of new widths in music, using the Breton language. Ever since I started my solo career back in 2006, I have published a folk music record, one of prog rock and one of metal.This time, I intend to go back to a more personal form of songs.

Tout est parti de ce concert en première partie de Klone en mars 2017 à Paris où j'avais été invité à me produire seul en scène. Suite à cette date, je me suis mis en tête de revenir un jour à ce format minimal et pourquoi pas d'enregistrer quelques chose... Début 2018, je commence à composer des morceaux tout d'abord destinés à être joués avec mon groupe dans un format rock puis Guillaume Bernard le guitariste de Klone me convainc de tenter un EP acoustique. Je commence alors à composer mes premiers titres et petit à petit je me prends au jeu de l'arrangement en y incorporant piano, violoncelle et claviers. Les choses prennent forme petit à petit et l'idée initiale d'un enregistrement chant guitare s'enrichit d'autres instruments et passe d'un projet d'EP à un projet d'album.

It all started in Paris, March 2017, during a concert where we were warming up for Klone and I had been invited to perform on my own. Following this, I decided to go back one day to a simple form of music of this kind, and even record a few songs, why not? In the beginning of 2018, I started to write songs intended to performed with my group as rock pieces. Then, there was Guillaume Bernard, Klone's guitar player, who talked me into trying  an acoustic EP. I then started to write my first songs, and little by little I got caught in the process of arranging the songs, adding piano, cello and keyboards. Finally, the project took on shape, and the idea of an acoustic guitar recording became one involving other instruments, and from an EP project, it became an LP project. Pour ce nouvel LP de 8 titres, j'ai choisi un format court dans la tradition des disques folk que j'affectionne. Souhaitant réduire au minimum les arrangements j'ai limité mes compositions à l'emploi de guitares (acoustique et electrique), d'un violoncelle, d'un piano et de claviers (orgue, mellotron). Ce nouvel album est nourri des mes influences folk et des musiques ambiantes que j'affectionne et m'ouvre des nouvelles perspectives artistiques. C'est une musique onirique, un rêve éveillé quelque par quelque part entre le pays de Brocéliande où je vit et les nuits polaires de Tromsø. J'ai confié la production du disque à mon ami musicien Joachim Blanchet qui m'accompagne en groupe depuis 2012. L'album sera enregistré et mixé au ty an park à Trebrivan et je serais accompagné de Bahia el Bacha au violoncelle et de Stéphane Kerihuel à la guitare électrique qui ont collaborés aux arrangements ainsi que d'autres invités surprises !

For this new LP of mine (8 songs), I selected a short format, in tune with the tradition of folksy records I love. I wanted to reduce the arrangements as much as possible and thus, I only use guitars (acoustic and electric) a cello, a piano, and keyboards (organ, mellotron). This new record is fuelled by the influences of folk music and ambiant music, and it opens up new artistic vistas for my work. It is a dreamy kind of music, a waking dream, if you will, somewhere between the country of  Brocéliande, where I live, and the wintry northern nights of Tromsø. My friend Joachim Blanchet is producing of the album. We have been playing together in a group since 2012. The recordings and mixing will take place in  ty an park in Trebrivan, and I will be playing together Bahia el Bacha on cello, and Stéphane Kerihuel on electric guitar. They have had a hand in the arrangements, and there will be several other guest stars involved. 

C'est seulement grâce à vous que ce projet pourra voir le jour et que nous pourrons fêter ensemble sa sortie. Qui suis-je ?

Je suis Brieg Guerveno, auteur-compositeur-interprete, chanteur guitariste en langue bretonne. Depuis 2006, j'ai réalisé trois albums et deux EP. J'ai été récompensé  à 2 reprises, en 2012 pour l'EP Bleunioù an distruj « meilleur disque en langue bretonne » décerné par la Région et FR3 et en 2014 par produit en Bretagne « prix coup de coeur ». J'ai fait plus d'une centaine de concert et je me suis produit dans plusieurs pays (Irlande, Angleterre, pays basque, Italie, Belgique, Japon).
